Next video the radiator will be submerged in a icebucket with the right reduction fittings.

I know it was meant to look like a disorganized mess for comic relief but it would have been nice to see it properly done.

Note for next time, trans cooler is just a liquid to liquid cooler housed in the lower tank. Basically useless for this.

Does anyone know why they didn't purchase from ASUS?
Pred 18 uramiJames Roggy
WHY? we had bugger all else to do and needed to make a video!
Pred 18 uramilorzon
This is super cringe.
Pred 18 uramiChris Dusak
This is dumb, without subambient air being applied to the radiator, theyre only increasing the speed at which the water would reach room temperature, not really cooling it anymore than a normal rad would, only allowing it to heat the water more than a normal rad.

A trip to the hardware store to buy some proper adapters would have been nice
Pred 18 uramiMad Modder
Does it need to be that jank?
Pred 18 uramidmitc01
If you're doing it, do it properly. 3d print two reducer to connect the radiators to the water cooling loop, ignore the transmission cooling inlet/outlet and position the radiator on the same level as the pc. The fact that the loop was constantly refilled negated any results you got.
Pred 18 uramiJiffy Gaming
damn linus just built my rig it looks fire

Pred 18 uramiDude Homie
Buying prebuilt is worth it especially since not everyone knows enough to put a pc together themselves if you don't know what you are doing just pay the extra 80 to 100 dollars to have someone who knows what they are doing put it together for you saving you days possibly weeks of frustration :)

Woulda, shoulda, coulda but you could have gotten a transmission cooler WITH a fan for even cheaper. Also you could have got one that was close to the dimensions of the towers side profile and basically just extended the width of the case so it looked more like one real unit. JEGS 60388: High Performance Transmission Cooler 26,000 GVW | JEGS something like that but bigger. Better than 9 smaller fans. Cool project none the less! Also you deserve to blow some hardware for using zip ties instead of oh say something designed and named specifically for that. Hmmmmm!? Maybe hose clamps!?
Pred 18 uramiAaron Carrigan
If it's intel 11 series then the water could just be boiling off.. but hey, what do I know?

Pred 18 uramiTall Paul
This would have better if you hooked up an electric water pump, real hose clamps, a fan shroud and electric fan from a real car. LOL, my 4790K runs 5Ghz on AIR cooling, hahaha.
Pred 18 uramiExpert Opinion
i mean this could actually work if they didn't half-ass it like this

Welcome to Jay's two cents hackery.
Pred 18 uramiTad Saxington
Great idea! But damn, they mounted the rad wrong. It flows from top side to bottom side. It need to be rotated 90 degrees.
Pred 18 uramiScotty24198424
I know this is is completely stupid but I would like to see this done properly.
Pred 18 uramiHijack
this video is the embodiment of chaos

Try it out with Houdini and let's just see how they roll.
Pred 18 uramiDeathByMercy
Apple is a pile of dung shit wrapped in bullshit.
Pred 18 uramiJack Rihley
My god ya'll did this in what was possibly the worst way ever thought of. Put hose clamps on all of the connections. And if you have to use zip ties, offset them. So the locking bit of one zip tie is offset from the other. The gap is what is leaking. Put the radiator beside the computer so there isn't any extra strain on the pump. Hell, you might want to use a garden pump, the same one you used for the subzero cooling video. i want to see you revisit this but do it MUUUUUUCH different.
Pred 18 uramiJulian Felipe Granados Flórez
This proves Sarah's claim rigth, the LTT way is YOLOing it.
Pred 18 uramiemukiller
What an utter and complete shit show. Why can't you just put some thought into and do it right?
Pred 18 uramiKrólikarnia
If you could take one thing from LTT what would it be? me: I need an ssd...
Pred 18 uramiEpirreman
Funny part is that this isn’t the most chaotic video on ltt
Pred 18 uramiMatt Stephenson
I was so hoping Alex was going to going to correctly explain to Linus at the beginning that the smaller ports on the rad are a liquid to liquid transmission oil cooler.
Pred 18 uramiRomain Cavallini
What a disappointing rushed together shit show Unbelievably long video full of nothing and people yelling Great job guys
Pred 18 uramiwansh013
WARNING : Anxiety triggers....... multiple anxiety triggers But is it worth it..... Yes!!! Loved it 👍🏻
Pred 18 uramiJonathan Hanson
You could have used a motorcycle radiator which would have been powerful, but smaller than a car radiator.
Pred 18 uramiTall Paul

Not transmission coolant ports, it’s for the heater in the car. The hot engine coolant runs through the heater core and makes hot air for your car.
Pred 18 uraminick4819
Why didn't you just fix the leaks before doing the testing...?
Pred 18 uramiBike Media
Oh god 🤣

Pred 18 uramiEmeryAustin
2:38 Like a Dyson™
Pred 18 uramibluevette1978
The transmission loop is a oil-to-water cooler and dissipates the heat from the oil into the coolant which then passes that heat in a water-to-air loop via the radiator fins.
Pred 18 uramiJ C Lovera
This was the YOLO-est built ever. They have a thermal camera but didnt even try pouring warm water throu the radiator to see the flow patterns, then connected the circuits in series knowing that the ducts with the smaller diameter would increase the resistance to the flow, then they set the radiator above the PC knowing that that would increase the hydrostatic pressure that the pump would have to fight, and finnally (having a warehouse of parts) they tried to use a compresive device (zip ties) to seal a very flexible rubber tube around a very flexible hose instead of using small pieces of pvc pipes to have something to supuport the preasure of the zipties. Anyway, it was funny. I hope they repeat the experiment but this time without any fans just to see if the convective flow of the warm air rising from the radiator and the water pump are enough to keep the PC cooled.
Pred 18 uramiSPACED OUT HILLBILLY
Can I have the radiator when your done , my car uses that same one
Pred 18 uramiLucas Vaughn
Love the video but would love to see it done properly without all the jank and anxiety.
Pred 18 uramiHuskyM
i clicked on this in youtube in opera gx
Pred 18 uramiSlw Snowman40
I feel like you should have called Jegs or Summit. I'm sure they'd have better solutions than something for a PT Cruiser. This should be revisited.
Pred 18 uramiprojectdelta50
Gaming on a submarine.
Pred 18 uramiGrant Robertson
By plumbing it up in series instead of parallel, you increased the resistance to water flow. Just the same as it would work with electricity. That is bound to cause it to cool less efficiently.
Pred 18 uramiShawn McCown
You're taking on troll masters from Jayz channel. They know how to bring the cringe.
Pred 18 uramiCharles Abell
This plumbing is terrible 😂
Pred 18 uramiCharles Abell
Get some flex seal or something at least
Pred 18 uramiNicholas
wonder whos blood is on that diamond
Pred 18 uramiScott Alexander
Radiator (with liquid), WELL above the computer case? What could possibly go wrong? LTT should hook up an outside radiator, with cables coming inside -- for the winter OC attempts!
Pred 18 uramiMichal Pytel
if you get your button stolen for whatever reason... you have cameras and there is a reset button on them. when you reset it it forgets all the buttons. I’m not 100% sure but it’s not that big of a deal
Pred 18 uramiBruno Lopes
Okay, now do this again, but this time make it work properly
Pred 18 uramiMoarfizz
As a car guy the transmission side does nothing because car transmissions wouldn't need much cooling, little to no cooling is necessary, If you were to redo this for any reason I strongly recommend you only use the motor cooling passageway and ditch the transmission side
Pred 18 uramiDiodeDavid
pretty terrible video
